The House leadership has decided to limit the debate on Campaign Finance
Reform to one day -- Thursday, July 12, 2001. Yesterday I held rallies in
Boston and New York City with Senator Russ Feingold and Representatives
Christopher Shays and Marty Meehan. We are all committed to seeing this
legislation through, but we need your help. The battle in the Senate was
a victory due in large part to the voices of the members of Straight Talk
America. The vote is close and I have a list of a number of House members
who&Mac226;s support we could use. Please call the following list of ten
Representatives and let them know that we want their support for the
Shays-Meehan Campaign Finance legislation. In addition, please let them
know that the Ney bill is an unacceptable measure of „reform‰.
